As we celebrate the arrival of Rev. Bolich, our evangelist, my thoughts go to Moses and his turning aside to inquire about the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-7). I think also of Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-7) as he climbed the fig tree to see Jesus. If they had not spent some effort and took some time to inquire, they would have missed an opportunity and encounter with the Holy God. May we have such an experience this week as we attend the special services for our personal encounter with our Lord.

  1. I too am looking forward to the Jeremiah Bolich week of transformation. My devotional this morning, by Charles Spurgeon ("Look Unto Me") began with this verse - Then all the disciples deserted Him and fled. Matthew 26:56. Jim Reimann, who expanded, indexed & updated this book in today's language, comments on each of Spurgeons messages. Today he said, "Remember, as Spurgeon alludes to today, the disciples did not yet have the benefit of the Holy Spirit, and after He was sent in Acts 2, they were amazingly bold and fearless. Then Reiman closes with this prayer, "Father, thank you for the filling of Your Holy Spirit. May I keep on being filled, walking boldly and faithfully in Your truth, never denying You again." I wish to be embolden to do this through this special time of renewal.
