After reading a comment posted on the blog by Jeralie Fairbanks; the scripture from Acts 4:13 came to mind where unbelievers spoke of the disciples realizing, they were unschooled, ordinary men, yet they took note that they had been with Jesus. The unbelievers realized those who had been with Jesus were not ordinary at all, but perhaps extra-ordinary. To think that spending time with Jesus in prayer could help others to see Christ-like qualities in what might be described as an ordinary life. Jesus can transform those who seek Him and spend time in His presence.
Please post comments, questions, or how the Lord is working in your life through prayer.
This is a test posting.
ReplyDeleteI'm Amazed that He loves me!! I have been having more struggles with prayer since beginning this prayer challange. Being a person who has to "fill in the blanks" I found that I would throw in the towel because I hadn't written on the journal pages. Then as I was singing in the choir loft, He spoke to me and filled me with the knowledge that my connection and way of praying was through song. I realized that I sing to Jesus with words of scripture and love from the worship music He created. When I got home I put on the Brooklyn Tab Choir DVD....started with the song "Thou oh Lord are a shield for me, my Glory and the the Lifter of my head". Thank you Lord God for revealing that there is no right way to pray!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a wonderful challenge for our whole family this year. We had an opportunity after Christmas to have the whole family together and because of the 52 week prayer challenge thought it would be good to have the whole family share prayer requests for 2010.
ReplyDeleteWell as you can guess it was a bit different than any families gettogethers. There were 11 of us all sitting around the room and we started out with the an adult and then went around the whole room each sharing personal requests for this new year. It really blessed Beckie and my heart to hear our adult children and their husbands and wifes share and then to listen to their children ( Our precious granddaughters) share their own prayer requests. Wow God is so good. Then Beckie and I prayed for each requests and God's came into the room in such a special way. We made a copy of the list of each prayer request and emailed them to the families after they all went home after the first of the year.
We have been faithful to remember those requests.
When we have a opportunity to talk with of granddaughters we ask them how God is answering their prayers and HE is you know!!!!
I can tell you that a great number have already been answered. Praise the Lord.
